We already raised the awareness of customers and consumers about the health risks of using illegal pizza cartons (i.e. those made with recycled paper) in our informative advertising campaign in early 2014 (See news February 2014).
Now, the TV program “Report” has raised an alarm on the subject, in its edition broadcast on 5 October (from min.16 to 20 approx): the majority of the 2 million takeaway pizzas baked daily in Italy, are placed unfortunately in below-standard cartons.
And so, together with our pizza “margherita” at 90° inside the carton, we run the risk of swallowing ink and various chemical compounds.
How to protect ourselves?
Only pure virgin-pulp cartons, such as those produced by our company, eliminate all risks of food contamination.
So we advise people always to ask their pizza chefs for containers that are 100% legally certified and recognizable because of the white interior of the carton.
Conversely, beware of any cartons without certification, that are easy to crush and have a grey interior (and where appropriate, report anyone who sells them).
